F2, I agree, the Shorts "game" is to create landslide panic selling by instilling fear in Longs hearts with some early day Short selling, then scoop up cheap cover shares at a lower WA price, that's the real reason for the consistent trading pattern of the past few weeks of late day buying, right?
I find it amusing at lunchtime the blame was pointed on "LPC is back selling", and at the close the story shifts to "manipulation by MM's", lol
Also, it is VERY possible that new "stakeholders" are sniffing around, and perhaps even beginning to accumulate shares now, I guarantee this will be the case in the very near future whether or not it is actually the case today!
Lastly, if the WA price is several pennies lower than the close, which incidentally came on strong volume, then it leaves the Shorts in a hole and I'm sure they are not happy about that, best idea would be for them to cover and replace Short shares with Long shares & make up any losses on Short position with even bigger gains on Long position!
I think the truth is that Longs are not being fear-mongered because they know what they have is incredible, so instead of selling, they are adding on the dips the Short sellers are creating, and hence the Shorts only hurt their cause on a day like today
