That is illogical. Byrd was a Democrat and his repudiations and apologies were accepted on both sides of the aisle. So the Dems were on the record and could say nothing if Trump had puckered up.
Unless you want to do some time travel shit.
The larger point is that Trump is the only one engaging in moral relativism RE the Nazis and he is being repudiated daily by more and more Republicans.....and businessman.
I don't defend denying speakers the right to speak or the property destruction, but neither do I accept your implied moral equivalence of those people with those chanting "the Jews will not replace us" and
that old Nazi favorite "blood and soil".

Even if his heart was now so pure that even God himself would have stepped out of heaven and declared Byrd's heart to be pure, that wouldn't have been no where near enough for the Librul nut burgers out there!!!... And after that picture got out, the librul shit hemorrhage that followed would have been heard/smelled all around the world for weeks to come.
