This may sound a bit crazy, but I have been monitoring the association of my appetite and cravings to eat and for certain foods and viewing tv. I believe that the tube has a direct effect on impulsive and suggestive behavior when it comes to eating. It Pays to Advertise!
I have lost about 50lbs over time that I had gained from my job as a chef. So I have become a student of what makes me hungry.
I maintain that on days where I need to fast, I cut down/eliminate tv. It really helps me out.
Also, fasting 24 hours starting from after dinner on one day to dinner the next is easier because you sleep through the first part and end your day with a nice meal. You don't go into starvation mode and slow down your metabolism because your mind knows you are gonna feed the body soon.
Just some thoughts...
