The one thing I do know is the more exercise you get the better and a day of fasting once a week is shown to be very benefitial but I know blood sugar levels are also a grave concern so the word fasting may be too strong. Maybe more of a restricted caloric day with the focus on maintaining good sugar levels and increased exercise to attack the LDL levels.
Just a thought...
