SARASOTA, FL -- (Marketwire) -- 05/23/12
Emperial Americas, Inc. (OTCBB: TEXX) Management today outlined and discussed product ownership and global distribution plans for the company.
Alonzo Pierce said, "The company owns the award-winning tequila, Tequila Distinguido? and other portfolio brands acquired from the Contreras family whose tequila recipes date back to the 1800s. The ownership includes importing, distribution and any tequila bearing the label 'Tequila Distinguido?' worldwide except for Mexico. Emperial Americas has obtained the approval of such label by the U.S. Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, which assures that it has the exclusive right to import and sell tequila in the United States under the trade name Tequila Distinguido?."
COO Bruce Klein commented, "We will continue to focus on building a significant market share for Tequila Distinguido? in Texas. The Lone Star State is one of the top consumption states for tequila and a primary focus of the company. Management believes that through marketing the brand in high consumption tequila markets (California, Texas, Florida), Tequila Distinguido? will increase sales at a quicker rate. The strategy to sell in larger consumption states allows our brand to yield greater return on marketing dollars spent."
CEO Pierce added, "Our business plan is fully achievable. We have engaged retail professional business groups who own relationships in the USA and abroad that are exploring options for Tequila Distinguido?. We are developing a global distribution program that includes LCBO (Liquor Control Board Ontario), the largest buyer in the world, whose Tequila purchases are up 37% as well as Australia whose tequila consumption is increasing steadily."
