Building dams is a bit different than draining a 26,000 sq mile lake to grow cotton and displacing 10 of thousands of people and it seems a bit drastic to me, and Hoovers dams were in a different era than now, or even 1970? And it was one of the 4 largest lakes in the world.
But, the reasons could have been good, but the way liberals put up a fuss over new dams, pipelines, and even emptying California dams to safe a fish. I can see them howling all day and night over such a project in the US now.
So hawks, I am not saying it is bad as much as liberals would really be putting up a fuss now?
The Wikipedia article below says they are trying to bring the lake back and it has fish again.
