Amarantus Announces Passing of Biotechnology Legend Dr. Joseph Rubinfeld
http://www.amarantus.com/news/press-releases/...-legend-dr
If it were me, I'd leave the bio up there for a year. He was a legend in many ways and such huge part of the company. I think everyone that knows anything little thing about Dr. Joseph Rubinfeld heard that he passed away so even a new investor doing bad DD could figure it out.
Quote:
"Dr. Rubinfeld, a co-founder of Amgen Inc., represented the best of the biotechnology industry. He was pragmatic, brilliant, honest and caring and always focused on the needs of patients" said Dr. John Commissiong, Chief Scientific Officer at Amarantus. "Immediately prior to his passing, Dr. Joe was selflessly working very hard to help turn Amarantus around. We will honor his memory by accelerating that effort to the best of our abilities."
Imagine the emotional toll with someone who died suddenly. Take if even further and imagine working with someone who was relentless trying toward moving a company forward to help people. There are people that don't want to work anymore at 54 and he was 84! Hats off to someone that cares so much about people to sacrifice so much. I do understand his point:
Quote:
He retired once but did not like it because as he said, "there's only so many times you can go to Hawaii or Europe."
There is a saying, when someone is in the ground they are quickly forgotten. That's why I wouldn't be so quick to edit the page.
I think they are focus on honoring his memory even if it unsettles a few investors.

At the end of the day, the company canceled the MANF conference because they are solely focused on turning around the company. Worrying about a web page being updated is pointless. There are more important things to worry about IMO.
