The itching of psoriasis starts at the base layers of skin formation. This is why topical treatments for psoriasis don't work very well. The old-fashioned remedies like coal tar may have "worked" to reduce itching simply by removing the scales on the outer layer of the skin, which would reduce the impulse to get rid of them by scratching.

But, as much as I think that Brilacidin has tremendous potential for all kinds of skin and other topical inflammations (like for instance eyes) -- I do not think that it will be of value for psoriasis. Prurisol is the best hope for that, because it works at the base dermal layers. Stop the plaque formation before it starts, and we can talk about a CURE. Or at least a treatment, if it has to be taken in maintenance doses.
