In another long term play I'm in, there was a guy who held as much as 9.9% at one time, to the tune at that point, over 25 mln shares and yes, he was an SEC filer.
After his 1st major hit in 99/00 where he made a bundle on the tech bubble run up of this stock with no foundational reason, the pps dribbled downward for years and has remained there.
When the 08 crash hit, all the fallout in the years that followed, he needed the money and decided to shed his shares, but he did it over about 2 years.
Doing it as he did, he did not hurt himself or us as much, had he just dumped em fast.
Just a thought, might not even matter with our SS, even the future SS, but I hope people don't consider trying to sell 10mln in a single click, with many doing same, it may have a negative effect, even if just temporary.
