Small investor shareholders also bought shares from QMC to support operations, investing in the company's large future vision. It's sort of been a "if you build it they will come" philosophy. Well, it seems build now and we are waiting to see the contracts and products that will come. We can start to see the result of this strategy in that 5 film manufacturers are working with us to develop their own versions of QD display film. It has taken a long time to get to this point, but really, other than a few display manufacturers making QD TVs, the display and all other QD markets are still in their infancy when compared to the expected growth in the next 10 years. Expectations are that the QD market will expand at a rate of $1 billion per year per year to $10 Billion by 2026. That's why I have always said, Buy and Hold.
Two other things to note is first, that what we see is the tip of the iceberg, and what is below could be massive. We know that QMC and QMCA have noted interest in LEDs, Solar, Batteries and Energy Storage, Anti-Counterfeiting, and Sensors, to name a few off the top of my head. For competitive reasons, most companies do not often disclose future projects and raise expectations prematurely so we don't know what other things QMC will develop next and when, but because QMC has built the foundation, ie., the ability to mass produce QD, it will be quicker to develop bespoke QD for different products.
Second, while QMCA is advancing, while we do not know details, it seems they have a planned schedule or timetable. The population of China is about 19% of the world population which means that 81% of the market for QD is in the sphere of QMC, the whole western world. That is a whole lot of business to develop, and we know that a few years ago QMC had over 40 NDAs with corporations, some which may be interested in developing QD projects now. That is the big mass of iceberg we can't see!
