We can only speculate the reason because Mr. Heddle never discloses any reason why potential customers keep running away from this supposedly revolutionary technology. Maybe potential customers are simply afraid of having to pay a 35% tax rate on the boatloads of money they'll be making.
Personally my money is on the processor being unable to convert any feedstock into anything more valuable.
Mr. Heddle should switch to pyrolyzing tires. Tires really do break down into oil under pyrolysis and there's no question that old tires are free and plentiful--people even pay to dispose of them. Additionally, the steel inside the tires can be sold as scrap. It's a better story than plastic...even if it's not worthwhile either.
