"Burned Twice' is a fitting name for the carbon or carbon/graphite used for the CSRV valve seal. Since it has been already burned, it essentially cannot be burned more. It is so extremely fine, to the molecular level, that it is smooth beyond comprehension and when combined with a binder to form a ceramic of carbon, is incredibly hard and withstands huge temperatures.

Hmmm. sounds like a good application for a frying pan. . . wait, that's already been done.

mogman, I respect your expertise and love your post. You are an asset to this blog and much appreciated. I'm sure the carbon/graphite CSRV valve system is a wonderful breakthrough for the ICE industry.

The elephant in the room is why no one is buying in. If the problem is not durability or improved efficiency then the only two things left are management incompetency or price. Only the Federal Government can afford to economize no matter how much it cost. Yet even the Federal Government is not a player in this game. That only leaves management incompetency.

I am convinced George is suffering from what I call "The Glass Navel Syndrome". If you remember the old "K" Mart stores used to have a jewelry section. In the bottom of the showcases they had crystal clear glass marbles about one inch in diameter. These were used to reflect light and enhance the appearance of the jewelry. (George does the same thing with forward looking PR's) You used to be able to buy one for a dollar. If George had one of those marbles he could take it to an emergency care center and have it installed in his navel for about $300.00. Then, he might be able to see where he is going. George has no credibility. I am holding on because there is nothing left to lose. I think the only chance we stock holders have is a buyout. George has proven the only thing he can sell is distribution rights to the next unsuspecting customer.
