To your point, 1.3 million shares isn't worth diddly now. At .01 it's 13k, .05 it's 65k, .10 it's 130k and so on.
In early pennies it's a nice bump but surely not even a years worth of salary. I wonder if they are merging or being bought. GC had the buy back that I can't imagine him initiating after decades of inflating his shares with every dilution. Maybe this deal with SS finally brought the eyes of the big boys in earnest and they'd rather buy the patent than chase after it. Big boys scale it immediately and don't have to worry about funding production. Over two months of silence could be the NDA and getting the insider share structure audited and adjusted could be final stages of aquisition DD.
I'd like to believe he would like to Net million(s) from these 1.3million shares since he'd hypothetically be out of a job. Making 80k for 12 years gets you 1million, he has to be thinking a larger payday if he's headed for imposed retirement.
Then the story becomes how many shares of COTE are there and what will a big boy pay for all of them.
All that being said, who the hell knows. The first thing to ever come to fruition could possibly be being bought in a massive purchase - the American dream - sell nothing for decades then be bought off into the sunset!
