loon - Sen. Warren 'Represents Everything We Hate About Politics'

In an interview Monday, former MLB pitcher Curt Schilling delivered some "chin music" to Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren.

Speaking on "The Larry O'Connor Show," Schilling, who said he will potentially campaign for Warren's Senate seat in 2018, said Warren "represents everything we hate about politics."

Referring to her as "Lie-a-watha" -- a play on Warren's claims of Native American heritage -- Schilling said there is a disconnect between Boston sports fans and Warren's political philosophy.

"This is a blue collar state. When you look at the coast of Boston and the fishing industry and you look at the towns and the cities, this is a blue collar state. There is no way that the fishermen on Cape Cod are Elizabeth Warren fans," he said.

Schilling is no stranger to sparking political controversy. He was suspended by ESPN for comparing ISIS to the Nazis and was later fired by the company for a social media post seen as offensive to transgender people.

Warren, meanwhile, made headlines Tuesday night as she was silenced on the Senate floor during the Democrats' overnight debate to delay a vote on attorney general nominee Sen. Jeff Sessions.

Warren recited a 1986 letter by Coretta Scott King, after which Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and other Republicans decided she was in violation of Senate rules.
