I do not expect perfection either. What I do expect from a CEO are statements that are well thought out prior to making them public. If there are circumstances beyond his control, he should be swift in his posting as to why his prior public commitment has changed. We don't need to give any douche bags false reason to create doubt in the minds of anyone reading any of these chat boards.
