Ivanka Trump was scheduled to meet this morning with former VP Al Gore to discuss climate issues, the Trump transition team announced.
The president-elect's daughter was to sit down with the climate change crusader at Trump Tower, transition spokesman Jason Miller told reporters on a conference call.
Politico reported last week that Ivanka Trump was looking to make climate change her "signature issue" during her father's presidency.
Trump has been at odds with climate change advocates, famously tweeting in 2012 that "the concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive."
Incoming White House chief of staff Reince Priebus said last week that Trump's "default position [is that] most of it is a bunch of bunk."
In a meeting with New York Times reporters last month, Trump said there was "some connectivity" between human activity and climate change and said he has an "open mind" on whether to withdraw the U.S. from global climate change agreements.

UPDATE, 2:45pm ET: Gore said he met with Ivanka Trump and spoke at length with the president-elect.
"I had a lengthy and very productive session with the president-elect. It was a sincere search for areas of common ground. I had a meeting beforehand with Ivanka Trump. The bulk of the time was with the president-elect, Donald Trump. I found it an extremely interesting conversation, and to be continued, and I'm just going to leave it at that," he told reporters.
