President-elect Donald Trump may have struck a deal with Carrier to keep 1,100-plus U.S. jobs from moving to Mexico, but the media is still attacking him for the agreement.
In an editorial, the Wall Street Journal argued that Trump's "shakedown" and "arm-twisting" will lead to a loss of U.S. jobs in the long run.
Hall of Fame college basketball coach Bobby Knight, a longtime Trump supporter, is not surprised by the media's reaction.
"I've spent a lot of time listening to various people in the media, and I'll guarantee you there are as many idiots as there are good people," Knight said.
He argued that this job-saving deal is just the beginning of a successful and transformative presidency.
"Donald Trump is a very, very smart man," Knight said. "His whole approach is: 'Let's see what's best for the United States and then let's get that done for the people of the United States.'"
"And he knows a hell of a lot more about it than anybody in any press report that I've ever read."
