As for majority support of the candidates? A majority of Republicans did not support Trump in the primaries, so he's no more representative of the GOP than you claim Hillary is.
But if you don't think he represents GOP 'interests'; massive tax cuts....that help him the most....unfunded spending, belligerent foreign policy, and climate change denial, you are mistaken.
The general election majority is the only one that counts now.
