An entire industry destroyed by politics and natural gas.......the weight though is solely political.
And no it is solar that is about to get destroyed. that industry survives on subsidies only....just can not do that forever...
An entire industry destroyed by.....change. And by the all too obvious destruction of the health of those who do the extraction and of those who inhale.
Automobiles were subsidized by government road building.
The notion that solar is about to be 'destroyed' is, well, silly.

Solar as an Economic Engine
Nearly 209,000 Americans work in solar - more than double the number in 2010 - at more than 8,000 companies in every U.S. state. By 2020, that number will double to more than 420,000 workers.
If they started building solar panel factories in Appalachia, whining about subsidies would subside right the f*ck quick!

Growth in Solar is led by Falling Prices
The cost to install solar has dropped by more than 70% over the last 10 years, leading the industry to expand into new markets and deploy thousands of systems nationwide.
