Unfortunately, why would many companies disclose that information during negotiations other than the generic "still at the table", "going well" type of stuff you'll get from IR. One would assume Amarantus is under a NDA until the deal closes and cannot update shareholders, so I wouldn't expect GC to do a call right now. Maybe at the shm, those attending would get a wink or something.
Usually, the more complex deal, the longer it takes. The timeline is also more unpredictable and odds of completion lower. If multiple, 3rd parties are involved, even longer.
The question is, how many of the details are they working out now vs. signing a LOI and working out the details later on. The company has a history of closing their deals they announce so likely they are taking it to that point before anything is announced.
Stratatech/Mallinckrodt deal in comparison was seemingly less complex being private company and being sold vs. partnership. Even with that, no one knew the status of negotiations, timing nor the terms of the deal. The latter of which know one still knows yet.
