ZWAG Box Update. I've just been catching up on comments on their Facebook. It is obvious that a few of the long-term bashers from iHub - aggrieved because they don't know how to trade - have signed up with their own or assumed names to post irrelevant nonsense / opinion on matters nothing to do with ZWAG Bos - and are now getting called out by customers.
I also found this - an e-mail from ZWAG Box sent to an individual customer who asked some detailed questions - August 9:
"So the T-Shirts are now back on track, but there has been a lot of confusion. They will be going out shortly and are underway in production as we said.
Many people have asked, why don't we simply send the boxes without the shirts. There are a large number of reasons.
First, we would be in violation of what we promised and thus subject to false advertising. The T-Shirts comprise $22 of value in the box, and removing them would take us well below the $55 minimum guaranteed value (which we take very seriously).
Second, we cannot ship them later. The thousands of boxes both national and international orders would result in the loss of tens of thousands in cost. This is no small amount. We are greatly subsidizing shipping (especially to international) as is, and this cost would be far too much.
Third, we cannot simply add the shirt to the next shipment. The boxes will not fit the two shirts (especially the larger sizes) and even if they could, it would take the weight over the 2lb range which would be the same result as #2 above. International costs alone would be massive as each 1lb (or fraction thereof) costs us over $8-10 without factoring labor, etc.
Last, we cannot easily replace the shirts with a different vendor at the last minute. These are licensed, high-quality, official and primarily exclusive T-Shirts. This means that we worked for months to get the approvals through our vendors who hold the licenses from the license holders. This is why, for example, we're currently working on December and beyond. The July box was "rushed" when we established what it would be, back in April. It cannot easily be swapped out as one might think...
We weighed all of our options carefully, because you all matter greatly to us. It is unfortunate that we hit this hiccup, but we are getting it sorted out. We will be giving you all great bonuses and filling future boxes even more to make up for it. Further we have a huge offer we will send to hopefully help as well. We expect the boxes to begin shipping within a week and will update with a firm date shortly.
We are dreadfully sorry for this delay. It was the one item in the box that was most crucial (aside from the Markiplier comic) and therefore sent us scrambling. We have done the best we can to solve as quickly as possible and greatly appreciate everyone's continued patience. We understand you are all looking forward to this. Please note that we do have shirts pre-planned far in advance and working ahead to make certain this doesn't get delayed again."
Notice the reference to shipping costs (tens of thousands) indicating that ZWAG Box subscriptions for July clearly were in the high 1,000s if not the 10,000 maximum.
