This is an important week regarding ESS and JV.
1. We are in the 5th week of the 3 to 5 week period Lonza initiated the need to perform retraining of key personnel prior to opening the Phase 2 clinical study with the U.S. Army.
2. This week is the final week of exclusivity of negotiations to enter into a definitive agreement for ESS JV.
Of course, they may extend the time frame for any of the two events; however, they would have to disclose that in an 8-K. We should know something if not at the end the week, definitely by sometimes next week.
To me, a good indicator of the direction of the outcome would be movement in volume and price ahead of news (recall all the buying that took place last December ahead of the lock-up agreement). At this moment, I think the convertible note holders have been extremely supportive of the company by giving it the breathing room to accomplish positive outcome.
