John Williams probably won't like it either, but Trump should try...

Donald Trump may be vying for the use of Air Force One, but the producer of the movie bearing the same name wants to cut him off from any association with the film.

Gail Katz, who produced the 1997 thriller "Air Force One" starring Harrison Ford, sent the Trump campaign a cease and desist letter asking him to stop using the film's theme song, which has been a staple of his on the campaign trail, The Hollywood Reporter reported Monday.

Katz wrote in the letter that the late Jerry Goldsmith, who wrote the score, would not want it used for campaign purposes.

“The music for Air Force One was composed and conducted by the legendary Oscar-winning film composer Jerry Goldsmith,” Katz wrote in the letter, according to the Hollywood Reporter. “Jerry’s music was hijacked in a misguided attempt to associate Trump with the film and the President in that film.”

Trump's campaign is clearly a big fan of the score, which has been played at several campaign stops, most recently as Trump walked on stage to deliver his GOP convention speech Thursday.

Katz told the Hollywood Reporter that the Trump campaign never asked permission to use the song. She's far from the first person or artist to send a cease and desist letter to Trump's campaign to stop them from playing their music, but depending on how the music is licensed, there may not be much recourse.
