I've noticed during the last week, there appears to be some accumulation going on by someone. Last Friday, about 300k shares traded in 15 minutes. The stock ran from 5 cents to 5.5 cents. What was unusual was the bid never showed. The bid stayed at 10,000. And again this past week, I've seen some big trades go through where the bid amount never showed. This happens on the sell side when the toxics sell- they show 10k or maybe 30k for sell, but they actually have a lot more for sale. When a retail investor puts an order in it will usually show on the bid or at least most of the time- especially if it is for several hundred thousand shares. When the bid never shows more than 10k shares during these large orders and the price climbs, it tells me that it has to be a buyer who has the ability to place orders without showing the bid.
