I was at a BMW motorcycle shop (not a dealership) and the owner is a big collector of BMW's. He was kind enough to give me a tour and when I saw an Army green cycle w/ sidecar I said it looked just like the kind Germans used in WWII. He said it was pretty close but that the real one was over in another corner. When I looked there, sure enough there was a cycle, sidecar, with the machine gun (still operational) mounted on it. Wonder what that would be worth?
He also had an East German Mensch (sp?) that only the top Russian Commies could get and it made Harley's look petite. Think he sold it for near $100K.
I love looking at any real collector's collection, no matter the subject. Hard to believe some people can be such hardcore fans of certain subjects.
