If memory serves, NTEK remains in the original development business even today. I understand that Surround Sound capability is what we are now coding for - which will mean newer and more extended patents.
Recently we learned that NTEK is deeply involved in UHD (separate from 4K) encoding which dramatically expands our universe of movie inventory.
On top of that we were advised that UHD standards are not similar for movies vs live broadcast.
As NTEK continues to master each of these issues, we continue to expand and broaden our absolutely up to date patent wall.
Rather than going crazy building a content library for ever changing requirements, especially if we are destined to be purchased for our software; it seems to me that our first focus is to spend our time and money developing a lock on the Future of Streaming.
It may be that the money NTEK was spending for a VP of Marketing was better spent on several people to write code??
