First off, I understand what you are saying, but to begin, it is important to remember that I am not the spokesperson for Spectrascience. I'm simply an investor like everyone else. None of my posts are meant to be investment advice and quite often I mention no one should invest more than they can afford to lose. When you said, "however many of us are loosing our ass", it's important to remember that all investors, including you and me, have the ability to sell at any time. Continuing to remain invested in a company which you consider to be 'bleeding' and in a 'death spiral' may be a sign that this stock is not right for you. Something must be keeping you invested, right? If not, you would have sold long ago. By following the rule of not investing more than you can afford to lose, even if SCIE completely fails and we lose everything, it shouldn't affect us financially because we didn't invest more than we can afford to lose.
This is not to brag or anything, because I have no reason to try to impress random, online strangers: The majority of my posts (and I have over 200) in here have actual, physical DD with links, articles, government findings, research, human studies, etc etc. In my opinion, they all point towards success. Obviously SCIE could fail. Nothing is guaranteed in life. I said many times in previous posts that I would sell my entire SCIE position in a second if I believed this was going no where. But, to base it off of a chart... to sell simply because the price is lower today than it was yesterday..? That's not how I invest. I've been invested in countless stocks that I thought were going to succeed and then in the blink of an eye I sold because something didn't feel right. I'd do the same with SCIE if necessary.
You mentioned:
"i'm sure you can figure out a way to explain to us investors how this is a great investment no matter how low the pps gets"
My response to this is twofold: First, I see SCIE as a great investment. It's up to you and everyone else to decide if they see SCIE as a great investment as well. Don't invest based on my posts (I say this in many of my posts and is also in my disclaimer below).
Second, I don't only post 'how great' SCIE is. Did you read my previous posts on how I hate SCIE's website for being out of date? They have 2014 articles on their front page. SCIE isn't perfect.
I also believe that perhaps you haven't read my previous posts (not that you have to, but they would clarify some of your concerns).
You said:
"the wavestat4 does work, and if it were really a god-send product i think the world would be clamoring for this device and yet it hasn't happened yet"
In a previous post, I posted (with a link) an article which explains why medical devices can take a decade or longer to go from rough draft to clinical usage. Why would the world clamor for the WavSTAT right now? The technology is brand new. Even being 10 years or more in the making, its still a new idea. When the first automobiles came out, it took years upon years upon years before people really figured out they were better than horse and carriage. People don't like change. Standard biopsies (cut it out and send it to the lab) is what we know. Our generation and our parents generation only knew of this biopsy and it is what makes us comfortable. It will take years before optical biopsies completely replace standard biopsies, but I believe it will happen.
In reference to VHS vs Betamax, you said, " it was better in every aspect" but this isn't actually true. One of the main reasons why VHS took the market away from Betamax was because VHS could record several hours while Betamax could only record one hour. And so, to use this argument in comparison to the WavSTAT, standard biopsies are like Betamax and optical biopsies are like VHS. Yes, two companies, Betamax had a product. But in the end, consumers wanted a tape that could record longer times and VHS won out. I see the same thing happening with the WavSTAT. Sure, standard biopsies work. But ultimately, optical biopsies are going to come out on top leaving standard biopsies in the dust.
In response to your comment, "is it possible there are other competing devices and technologies and that the wavestat4 isn't the only game in town?"..
Another previous post of mine listed all the competitors of the WavSTAT4. But SCIE holds many patents, and many of the competitors products cost thousands of more dollars compared to the WavSTAT.
You also mentioned:
" one of the light detection methods is spectroscopy, of which a company is already doing that in many countries. "
I'm not sure if you know this, but the WavSTAT 4 uses Laser Induced Fluorescence Spectroscopy . This IS the technology of the WavSTAT.
In conclusion, thanks for the post. It's always good to reevaluate my thinking and my investment decisions, but I'm still convinced the WavSTAT4 is at the forefront of it all. In the long run, even if it takes 3 more years to reach a penny, it wouldn't bother me because I'm a long. And until I find any article listing the WavSTAT4 doesn't work, i'll continue to remain invested. But of course, you do as you see fit for your own personal investment and don't invest based on this or any post.
Take care!
