NASCAR sponsorship at the team or corporate level is very expensive. To launch a consumer brand/build awareness - it would have to well conceived, focused, and limited. Right now - company has to be smart with cash to ramp up SMS dealer network, get Canada and Europe going, jumpstart CK, and then once they have devent national coverage - then consider. Unless a unique opportunity presents itself where there is a natural brand partnership - I dont see it happening for awhile. NASCAR sponsorship was all the rage 6-8 years ago and then many corporate behemoths stepped back and really started crunching the numbers and realized there simply was no return. That has made sponsorships more affordable but i would think they are still going to be prohibitive for Joe at this point.
I think we will continue to have more sideways movement until pre-trial hearing/update in early May. Would like to see a judge force a reasonable cash settlement to put a quick end to this and let the company move on and resume normal corporate activities.
