Re: OMO #6137
Thank you.

This of course means that we must call out any ODS fueled claims that Obummer is singlehandedly responsible for the loss of manufacturing jobs.

Rather a lot of 'fingerprints' of many corp. and political players, together with fair and unfair foreign competition, outsourcing and automation over MANY years, are mostly responsible for what you stated.

Then there's the following:

Quote:
"Here's what I want everybody to remember," Obama said Tuesday. "Manufacturing is coming back. Companies are starting to bring jobs back. The economy is getting stronger. The recovery is speeding up."

"We have to do everything in our power to keep our foot on the gas," he said. "And the last thing we can afford to do is go back to the same policies that got us into this mess."

Obama wants to provide tax incentives to companies that shift foreign jobs back to the U.S., and rescind existing credits for those that move work overseas. He also wants to cut the corporate tax rate, while imposing a new tax on companies' overseas profits.

I cannot muster a single argument against all of the emboldened points above. The ONLY thing preventing their implementation is a Republican Congress that wants to present NO 'victories' to Obama, nor for American companies and their workers.
