All opinion. Not investment advice: Hard to bel
Post# of 375
Hard to believe no one has posted in here since the middle of last year. Guess everyone is still on the 'other board'
Ive been with SGLB for a very long time and decided last year to exit my position for very specific reasons. I believed it was going to be at least 6 months to a year before any major news came out which would affect the PPS. It was a good move on my part seeing SGLB remained flat lined at around .06 cents since July of last year. My goal was to reinvest this money into other companies, and then reinvest those gains back into SGLB so that I could purchase more shares of SGLB than my initial investment. Yet, as things turn out, it seems a crossroad has come before us.
Recent news (just today) tells us SGLB will be implementing a 1:75 split. Great for the company, bad for current investors. Hold up! This is all opinion not fact, so don't think this is investment advice based on this blabbering post. Sigma Labs is one of the most serious investments I ever found. The company is solid. They have connections to big names and my stance has not, and will not change, that SGLB will succeed. Because in my opinion, they will.
The conference call tomorrow will give some clarity as to the next steps SGLB will be taking, and that's good. The issue I have is that current investors will lose their share count by a factor of 75. So, if you have 2 million shares, youll end up with less than 27,000 shares posts split.
For this reason, as unfortunate as it is, (because I saw the potential for this company a long time ago, and I still believe it will succeed), I believe this RS will make the PPS too expensive to purchase enough shares to make a decent profit for the average investor. And for this reason, I have invested elsewhere.
Example: if the RS happened tomorrow, it would cost $4.50 per share. I highly doubt the average person has $1 million dollars to buy only 200,000 shares. And so, I'm happy I got out when I did, I wish the best to the company and the technology as this tech will change the future, and I wish the best to any investors still invested and who will stay invested post RS.
Of course, this doesn't mean current investors cant make a lot of profit pre-RS. With the excitement beginning to build, I believe the PPS will go up before the RS. If this happens, current investors probably will make a decent amount. It will be interesting to see who decided to sell and who decides to remain invested; but for myself, a 1:75 post split makes no sense to remain in after the split. But again, all opinion. Do your own DD and make your own investment decisions. Don't listen to some random person online.
Take care and good luck.
