At this point, no one knows how ambs will handle ESS. The company has changed directions so many times that not even a GPS satellite can keep track of it. As long as the company remains a financial basket case, I wouldn't have any faith that ESS will amount to anything. I believe the Army hasn't furthered funding because it sees the company as a huge risk of not being able to stay afloat and won't do anything until it has proof the company can remain solvent for longer than a few months.
