Now I could waste my time and show you a court case where a very large company sued a small one. They in turn filed counter claims of their own. It went on for over a year. Then the court documents showed both parties agreed to dismiss their case. But what actually happened is the two companies decided to a settlement on their own. In this case the larger company paid the smaller one 1.2 million dollars. As part of the settlement agreement they signed a nondisclosure agreement (NDA). Investors didn't find out about until 4 months later when they filed their annual report.
That's sometimes how it's done.
