To add to the mystery NFS (Fidelity) received the same overly broad subpoena requesting all manner of information relating to CRGP and the same day that COR's subpoena was returned as served against Etrade COR cancels its subpoena against Fidelity. Is it possible Fidelity has no problem opening its books and internal communications regarding CRGP to COR without even token legal resistance? And of course that begs the question of what the other 66 clearing firms would do if they receive (or maybe already have received) a subpoena from COR regarding CRGP documentation. If all of them give up the goods, Etrade is really left hanging.
