Contract Pharmacal Corp Expects Significant Growth in the Next Three Years With DEACOM ERP

CHESTERBROOK, PA --(Marketwired - January 26, 2016) - Deacom, Inc. , the developer of a single-system Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution, is excited to kick-off implementation for Contract Pharmacal Corp (CPC). As a manufacturer and packager for pharmaceuticals, over-the-counter drugs and dietary supplements for premium clients, selecting a reliable ERP solution was a top priority.

"With operations in seven different locations and multiple countries, we need to prepare for the increasing complexities within our business," said Jeff Reingold, Chief Operations Officer of CPC. "As we continue to expand our business, it is critical to implement technology that will facilitate growth and impact the bottom line so we can extend these savings to customers."

Targeting significant growth over the next three years, the company demands a robust and reliable solution to streamline operations throughout the entire business. Perhaps the most critical, yet complicated aspect of CPC operations is serialization. As the US Food and Drug Administration updates serialization regulations in 2017 and 2023, the company requires strong strategies in place to confidently match these changes at a unit, case, and pallet level.

DEACOM ERP supports all three levels of serialization :

  • Each Serialization -- If units need to be tracked granularly for recall purposes, the individual units can be serialized upon receipt or completion of the product.
  • Container Serialization -- With user-defined or system-defined serial numbers, multiple unites placed into a container or box can be serialized.
  • Pallet Serialization -- When containers are loaded onto a pallet, the pallet can be serialized and moved with a single scan with the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

"In past experiences, I have found that many ERP providers require businesses to mold to their software. With 45 years dedicated to strengthening our business processes and perfecting our products, we are excited to have DEACOM ERP facilitate our growth strategy rather than hinder it," continued Reingold. "Deacom's technology works with our business and empowers the progression towards our development."
