"This might help.
"As a young man, before earning graduate degrees in medicine and pharmacology, Dr. Menon was the chief veterinarian for a Jamaican parish, which is comparable to an American state. On one occasion, he was called to do a postmortem analysis following the mysterious death of an expensive prize bull. The investigation revealed that the animal had been treated with an agent designed to kill external parasites, a common problem in tropical countries.
During the postmortem analysis, Dr. Menon discovered that the tick-and-mite-killing product acted as a cytotoxic agent, causing organ failure. More importantly, however, he also observed that the bull had suffered from subcutaneous tumors, but many had been eliminated by the product.
The event marked the beginning of his quest to develop anti-cancer compounds that combine low toxicity with high efficacy. This theme has marked much of his career, and has already led to the creation of breakthrough cancer drugs. It is now reaching its culmination in Cellceutix’s leading compound, called Kevetrin"
LR took exception to two things this was my reply to the idea that I was putting the matter of Aruda to bed.
"The world of investing would certainly be much easier if we each had the ability the call witnesses for multiple depositions and subpoena records etc. until we were absolutely certain of the absolute truth and nothing but the truth. Since that standard of truth/non-truth seems rather unlikely to be achieved through the use of Google, I satisfy myself with this standard. (From the limited puzzle pieces I am able to locate, do the pieces "seem to" fit appropriately?) I use "apparently" according to the definition #3 that follows:
Apparently | Define Apparently at Dictionary.com
dictionary.reference.com/browse/apparently
Dictionary.com
capable of being easily perceived or understood; plain or clear; obvious: The solution to the problem was apparent to all. 3. according to appearances, initial evidence, incomplete results, etc.; ostensible rather than actual: He was the apparent winner of the election.
To me the pieces seem to fit.

Aruda was apparently running a local company who appeared (to me) to be working on the exact sort of technology needed and his expertise with herbicides seems to fit with the use of Hydrochloride Salts.
Company Description
Agrenetics is a research and business development company which has developed a new proprietary method for the combinatorial synthesis of herbicides and small molecule drugs. The Company is pursuing multiple applications and collaborations with this technology and seeking potential marketing partners for other "spin-out" technologies developed in-house or with collaborators. Agrenetics is also investigating a variety of natural product extracts for biological and industrial utility."

The second problem LR had was my choice of the word "tweaked". I almost responded to explain that simply tweaking a molecule would not necessarily mean I was saying Aruda wasn't entitled to his half of the patent. I was still thinking about it today when I had an epiphany. If Aruda is a cloud and all clouds have a silver lining, what is Aruda's silver lining. I hope to have time later today to post my thoughts on that!
