I wish all my friends, associates and Explor shareholders a Happy, and Prosperous New Year! A good deal of mine, and suspect some of your potential prosperity is tied up in Explor Resources. Over the past 40 years, I've invested in a number of mining companies, and truly cant remember one that I was as excited about as EXS/EXSFF. Especially over the past few months, a lot has happened that I believe will translate into profits in this equity sooner, rather than later. Contrary to mainstream beliefs, constant media bombardment, and expert opinion, I'm still deeply convinced gold will move to considerably higher levels. I know a number of my investor friends feel the same way. When & how depends on a couple of key factors...perhaps some catastrophic event, or a realistic re-evaluation of the US dollar, to name a couple. One of the more recent events that intrigues me is the growing investment by very seasoned gold mining veteran billionaires, in equities with properties sitting inside the Abitibi Greenstone Belt in the Timmins, ON area. The Belt is the home to many major, and prolific, gold mines that have produced tens of millions of ounces of gold over the years. We've seen a number of Private Placements, as well as larger, and more frequent buys in EXS by apparently new buyers in the stock. So, what do billionaires know that we don't?? There's a great map of the Belt, showing all these old and operating gold mines, in the Explor website. In the midst of all the mines, is the TPW, Explor's flagship Timmins Porcupine West property.
Further, Glencore has apparently discovered a new trend, which appears to continue under Explors Kidd Creek property. If management decides to do some serious drilling on the property, is it possible that Glencore might show up with a serious cheque book?? Early results at East Bay last summer were very encouraging. Although were in the early stages of exploration, should gold advance as I believe it will, ongoing work at that site could have a serious impact on the stock price as well. Based on my experience, as the smart money expands its investment in the known gold rich zones, a following of brokers in Canada and the US will quickly emerge, generating continuous upside support to Explor and other gold miners. That support might be gradual, or as sudden as an earthquake. I look forward to the ride either way....
