SO TRUE! Many of the world's geniuses would be tagged with ADD or ADHD if they were in school today. The "education" industry wants one-size-fits-all methods of teaching, so those that don't fit their cookie-cutter standard are in needs of medical reform--and the drug industry is ever so happy to provide it. The schools are given financial incentive by the government to put as many kids as possible in their daily drug line for a narcotic fix--the more kids getting the drugs, the more tax-funded "education" dollars that school district receives.
I have a son who was diagnosed with ADHD. He was terrible at taking tests--couldn't stay focused. He could only memorize while standing on his head (seriously!) I refused the pressure to get him on Ritalin and, eventually, homeschooled him. He owns a very successful business today, at age 29.
