Remember that Leo said he thought that the anti-inflammatory properties of Brilacidin, particularly for digestive system uses, would be a huge market, bigger even than the antibiotic market.
And, of course, as others have pointed out, they sure wouldn't be talking about any trials involving inflammatory diseases if the Brilacidin-OM trial weren't giving them some good indications of anti-inflammatory effects in humans.
