All they need to do is put a matching color stroke around the snowflake and a slight drop shadow behind the logo and it'll work fine. I already created a very rough image in photoshop to see what it would look like and it is much better. Since the logo is often seen against a field of white (i.e. boxing shorts; Comedy Night backdrop) there has to be some color separation for the snowflake or it disappears.
