How would there be any cash to AMBS with a Spin-Out?

Could someone please explain how AMBS would receive any cash from a "spin-out" of the DX? Usually a spin out means the parent company would actually invest more money into the company that was spun off if anything and the shareholders of the parent company might receive shares of the new company, but how could AMBS receive any cash from a spin off or spin out? AMBS needs cash, not ownership in another company .Unless they sold the assets to a another party who in turn took it public after the fact, but that would really be a sale and not a spin out. Interestingly if you look up spin off online, one of the reasons companies do spin offs is if they can get a good offer to sell them, they will spin them off. Bottom line, is I hope GC has another plan to raise money- (like a license for ESS in China) in the next 4 weeks. The idea that there will be an announcement at JPM Conference is ridiculous.
