It might be less frustrating to keep track of when the company says "we will" vs. target, we hope to, we anticipate, our goal is, our milestone is, etc. People take all that as a guarantee, written in stone, money in the bank, there is no more risk, etc. They fall prey to the shorts/flippers psyops
There are so many variables in life. Even Nostradamus got a lot wrong and he was as vague as they come. There is a lot out of the companies control. Point me in the direction of penny stocks that nail everything they hope to. I have some money to invest in those gems.
I guarantee someone will be talking next month saying GC promised a deal out of China a month ago and he's a big liar because they were banking on it. Keep in mind almost all those posts are shorts and flippers that have a vivid imagination.
It also may be worthwhile to keep track of when the company didn't say anything and had an accomplishment. I can list dozens. It's all about trade offs. Does anyone think doing the ESS deal was done just working a little more overtime? You prioritize and sometimes even those priorities change.
Go watch the movie The Martian and see how nothing ever goes as planned and how you continuously have to adjust, innovation and think on the fly.
