I actually had two best jobs. I worked for one company through my entire aviation career and every project that the company (Grumman Aerospace) developed from 1959 on to 1994. My two favorite projects were the Lunar Module and the forward swept wing aircraft development research project. I had the pleasure of working in both the Aircraft Design and Flight Test Departments and got involved with aircraft certification for military, civilian and NASA projects. Working on the Lunar Module from its inception to its first launch we had to explore many different sciences from chemistry to metallurgy along with aircraft structures and systems. I got to work with many of the astronauts and actually once had a meeting with Wernher Von Braun. I retired from the company in 1994 when they merged with Northrop and asked me to move to Florida or California. I chose to stay close to my family and took an early retirement. Since then I have been very successful in adding to my company pension by being active in the stock market. I believe that baltia, next to American Airlines, will be my biggest BINGO. Now I keep busy with civics and politics as well as the stock market.
