We are soon going to have 1000 Paramount pictures on Ultraflix, according to the pony board.
The numbers.com site lists 156 Paramount titles available for the home video market (latest adition was on Jul.14). In other words they are already in digital format. http://www.the-numbers.com/home-market/distri...Home-Video.
To be positive, let's presume they are all on blu-ray/HD, making them suitable for upscaling into 4k for UF.
That would make some 150 movies readily available, just needing the so called "NTEK special sauce". Wonderfull !
I have no clue how many of the remaining 800+ movies need to be digitized, but it surely is a hell of a lot. At least those released prior to 2000.
Ultraflix has 36 scanned movies, of which 25 Imax titles, so not scanned by 4K studios. That makes 11 movies that were scanned into 4k by 4K Studios (presumably) in what, almost a year ?
With only two scanners available, I wonder who will convert these hundreds of films into 4k, and how many years this will take.
Or is this more NTEK pump ?
