I wonder if the company has considered hiring a proxy

I wonder if the company has considered hiring a proxy solicitation firm.

Those companies exist for the very purpose of reaching out to shareholders to get them to vote (and to try to influence their votes a certain way).

Given the importance of this vote, I would think it would be worth the cost.
