Shares of ICU Medical, Inc. (ICUI) soared more than 17% to touch a record high during the extended session Monday after the company reported in its financial results quarterly revenue and profit numbers above Wall Street analysts' expectations
For the second quarter 2015, ICUI posted revenue of $83.8 million, a 6.5% increase year over year, and non-GAAP net income (excluding non-recurring items) of $0.97 per diluted share, compared to non-GAAP net income of $0.51 per diluted share in the same quarter the prior year, surpassing the Capital IQ Consensus Estimate of $0.56 earnings per share on revenues of $78.89 million for the period
ICUI has raised its fiscal year 2015 guidance and now expects revenue to be in the range of $325 million to $330 million, compared to the previous range of $312 million to $317 million, and adjusted diluted earnings per share to be in the range of $3.49 to $3.69, compared to the previous range of $2.70 to $2.80. The company's new expectations are also above the Capital IQ Consensus Estimate of $2.53 earnings per share on revenues of $318.92 million for the period.
ICUI develops, manufactures and sells innovative medical technologies used in infusion therapy, oncology, and critical care applications.
