Got it. Thanks to all. I was under the impression that there was at least one attempt where only the slides failed due to the issues that the FAA certified slide canister provider had. That is why I asked the question..if there where multiple issues that caused the previous failures then this makes more sense.. So I guess the 100k question now: Is there a precedent for the FAA providing a pass for malfunctions of equipment provided by FAA certified suppliers????? If there is then We should all feel very confident...if there isn't a precedent then I guess we are again cutting new ground in this new process and will have to wait and see.
