MENLO PARK, Calif., July 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- BioPharmX Corporation (NYSE MKT: BPMX) today announced that its product to address premenstrual breast discomfort, Violet® iodine, will soon be available through a wholly owned subsidiary of The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR), the largest U.S. grocery retailer.

The product will make its retail grocery debut in upscale Harris Teeter, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Kroger Co., which operates 235 stores in eight states and the District of Columbia.
This expansion reflects the vision of the company to offer Violet iodine to consumers where they live and shop. BioPharmX is expanding distribution methodically by rolling out to regional grocers to offer the first-of-its-kind product to alleviate premenstrual breast discomfort.
"The Violet woman finds herself already shopping in grocery stores for personal hygiene and wellness products," said Anja Krammer, President of BioPharmX. "Making Violet available in select grocers where she already purchases everyday essentials for her family just makes sense. This expansion is a natural next step in distribution for the company."
Violet iodine is expected to be available for purchase in all 235 Harris Teeter stores by September 2015.
