MENLO PARK, Calif., July 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- BioPharmX Corporation (NYSE MKT: BPMX) is excited to announce the launch of its social media campaign, #HugsShouldntHurt, to help generate brand awareness for its first consumer brand, Violet® iodine.
The week-long launch began Monday at a pre-ESPY Award lounge where athletes tweeted and retweeted photographs taken at the event tagging Violet and using the campaign hashtag #HugsShouldntHurt. Tuesday evening blogging network, Blogger Babes, co-hosted a Twitter party and experienced incredible success generating 7.8 million impressions for the hashtag. Violet will kick off its presence on Instagram Thursday at BlogHer 2015 by encouraging conference attendees to post photos to Instagram of them hugging their favorite "Violet Hottie" tattooed with #HugsShouldntHurt and tagging @SayHelloToViolet and using #HugsShouldntHurt in their posts. Each successful Instagram post will generate a dollar to be donated by BioPharmX to a charity for women's health.
