INDIANAPOLIS, IN – (MARKETWIRE – April 28, 2015) – Stevia Corp. (OTCQB: STEV) ("Stevia Corp" or the "Company" , an international farm management company and healthcare company focused on the commercial development of products that support a healthy lifestyle, including stevia and hemp and their compounds is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Paul Mahlberg to Stevia Corp.’s newly formed Advisory Panel.
Dr. Mahlberg obtained one of only two Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Schedule 1 research licenses to pursue studies on Cannabis in the United States spanning a period of 33 years from 1970-2003. During that time he accumulated one of the most extensive seed banks in the world with over 200 strains (varieties) of Cannabis from worldwide sources, which were cultivated in secure greenhouses. The studies are available in over 30 scientific publications on Cannabis.
Dr. Mahlberg is a Professor Emeritus of Indiana University and was an active professor in the Botany department of the University until 1994 after which he continued his research on Cannabis with visiting faculty and maintained his laboratory until 2003. MD Anderson Cancer Researcher Dennis Hill accepted a position on Stevia Corp. Advisory Panel.
Biochemist Dennis Hill Joins Stevia Corp.’s Advisory PanelINDIANAPOLIS, IN – (MARKETWIRE – April 20, 2015) – Stevia Corp. (OTCQB: STEV) (“Stevia Corp” or the “Company”), an international farm management company and healthcare company focused on the commercial development of products that support a healthy lifestyle, including stevia and hemp and their compounds, is pleased to announce that biochemist and former MD Anderson Cancer Researcher Dennis Hill has accepted a position on Stevia Corp.’s newly formed Advisory Panel. Dennis Hill has distinguished himself as being one of the few people on record in the world that achieved complete remission of cancer solely through the use of cannabis without conventional cancer treatment such as radiation or chemotherapy.
Mr. Hill holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in biochemistry from the University of Houston. He also participated in postgraduate studies at Baylor Medical School with a concentration in physiology. For 10 years, Mr. Hill was a cancer researcher at MD Anderson Cancer Hospital.
On February 23, 2010 and after a routine visit to his California-based physician, Mr. Hill was diagnosed with very aggressive adenocarcinoma in his prostate gland. Adenocarcinoma is a type of cancer that forms in mucus secreting glands throughout the body.
In Mr. Hill’s own words, “After my diagnosis, I was complaining to a friend about having to go for radiation and chemo. She asked, ‘Don’t you know, cannabis cures cancer?’ After a search of the literature for confirmation, I cancelled my radiation appointment and joined a co-op and was able to start treatment with cannabis extract. After six months of this regimen, the subsequent prostate biopsy showed no sign of cancer. Now I have the comforting privilege of helping others to find the non-toxic path to wellness from cancer and many other maladies. Life is good.” - Market Wired PR Link
Stevia Corp. Involved with Hemp
George Blankenbaker is on the Board of Directors for the Indiana HIA State ChapterThis has been something of rampant discussion since the PR titled "Stevia Corp. Registers Wholly Owned US Subsidiary, Real Hemp LLC" was released on March 05, 2014. Stevia Corp. however is not your typical marijuana stock. They are not involved directly or associatd with the recreational side of the business. Instead they are looking at two high value areas:
1. The production of Hemp in the United States through contract farming (they are members of the HIA and George sits on the Board of Directors for the INHIA)
2. The securing of Intellectual Property (IP) - Patents on what appears to be the OTC drug market. (see CBD section below)
Hemp products can all be legally imported and traded in the United States and recent growth is being fueled by an increasingly educated public that is becoming aware of the many benefits of hemp. The 2012 retail value of North American hemp food, vitamin and body care products was estimated to be in the range of $156 to $171 million by the Hemp Industries Association (HIA). When clothing, auto parts, building materials and other non-food or body care products are included, the HIA estimates that the total retail value of U.S. hemp products is about $500 million. Food and fiber uses for industrial hemp are growing rapidly and have increased over 300 percent, to an estimated 25,000 products, in the past few years. Much of that growth is coming from the increased sales of hemp food products.
Industrial hemp was the most important non-food crop in the early history of the United States, being used for sails, riggings, canvas, ropes, clothing and paper. Its diverse uses made it a required crop, for farmers' and the country's existence. With the passage of the Marijuana Tax Act in 1938, hemp production in the United States essentially ended. This was followed by the 1950's anti-drug legislation that made it illegal to grow any cannabis plant varieties to improve drug enforcement of illegal marijuana production.
According to Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, hemp seed (and its byproducts) can be used to supplement diets poor in essential fatty acids to maintain good health. One of the fastest growing markets for hemp seed oil is health care products and hemp oil is the richest known source of polyunsaturated essential fatty acids (the "good" fats) at a volume level of 81%. It is also one of only two plants that contain gamma linoleic acid (GLA), a very rare nutrient found in mother's milk that has been found to have many properties ranging from anti-inflammatory to anti-depression.

George became involved in large scale commercial agriculture in 2002 when he began working with the Agri-Food Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) to provide strategically important food supplies to Singapore and currently oversees farming operations in several countries. Prior to that George co-wrote and co-presented a bid for the U.S. Navy Subsistence Prime Vendor (SPV) Contract valued at USD $197 million covering three zones of Japan, Singapore, and Diego Garcia. The contract was awarded in 2002 and the Singapore and Diego Garcia portion is currently supported by the Rong-Yao group, a partner company based in Singapore. In 1999 George co-developed the first broadline foodservice distribution center in Singapore. During the 90’s George traded commodities and was an independent consultant and analyst for Standard Chartered Bank and Reuters and was on the implementation team that established Globex in Singapore linking the Singapore International Monetary Exchange with the Chicago Board of Trade. George began his career in Singapore in 1990 as a commodities analyst and also established a food import/export company which established itself as the leading importer and distributor of two food categories in Asia before being merged into current operations. In 1986 George accompanied the Chairman of the finance department of his University to Asia for six months to study the development of the Asian Financial markets.

Federal Bills for 2015
Hemp is moving forward now quicker than ever with the addition of these two bills in congress. They amend the Controlled Substances Act to exclude industrial hemp from the definition of "marihuana." Defines "industrial hemp" to mean the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of such plant, whether growing or not, with a delta-nine tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis. Deems Cannabis sativa L. to meet that concentration limit if a person grows or processes it for purposes of making industrial hemp in accordance with state law, unless the Attorney General determines that the state law is not reasonably calculated to comply with such definition.
It is assumed and likely that these bills will pass federally before any recreational marijuana rules are passed. Making hemp appear to be a safer bet for investors.

Company to Pursue Growing Market Opportunityfor Cannabidiol Based Products
Through both natural plant extract or synthesized cannabidiol (cbd) - Stevia Corp. has quietly been positioning itself to become the nextmajor player in the OTC (over the counter) drug market. The following products were mentioned after a statment from George in a PR titled Stevia Corp. Confirms Protocol to Produce Synthetic CBD
George Blankenbaker, Stevia Corp President, commented, "Perhaps even more impactful for the creation of shareholder value, Stevia Corp is also focused on several patentable applications for CBD and has engaged a patent attorney with the intent to file several provisional patents in the coming months with more updates planned for January 2015."

Key Findings about OTC Drug Market
What is Cannabidiol (CBD)?
CBD is one of at least 85 cannabinoids (chemical compounds found in both industrial hemp and marijuana) and is the major constituent in industrial hemp plants. Hundreds of scientific studies have demonstrated CBD's potential in addressing a wide range of serious conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, chronic pain, schizophrenia, PTSD, epilepsy, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, HIV dementia and many others. CBD is also non-psychoactive and avoids toxicity that is encountered with psychoactive cannabinoids at high doses.
CBD's promising potential has been the subject of intense media publicity in recent months including the documentary special "WEED" by CNN chief medical correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta who spent a year traveling around the world to shed light on the debate of medical marijuana. One of many cases highlighted by Dr. Gupta was Charlotte Figi, a young child who suffered from Dravet Syndrome, a rare and severe form of intractable epilepsy that strikes young children and is not controllable with traditional medication but responded to treatment with an extract from medical marijuana that was high in CBD and low in THC (the psychoactive cannabinoid) with no apparent side effects.
The Oil extracted from industrial hemp contains almost no THC and is well below the US legal threshold of 0.3% for hemp products to be sold in the US where the annual retail value of hemp products is more than $500 million. Once CBD is extracted from industrial hemp, it lends itself as a dietary supplement which can be consumed in many forms including oil droplets, CBD infused gum, and soft-gel tablets.
George Blankenbaker, Stevia Corp President, commented, "It is still illegal to grow industrial hemp in the US for commercial purposes so our Hong Kong subsidiary will continue leveraging its relationships in Asia where the China government is targeting to increase production of hemp to more than 3 million acres and is developing advanced technologies for the commercialization of hemp products. Working with its partners in Asia, our subsidiary has access to the largest source of hemp with the ability to breed even more efficient varieties while leveraging existing extraction facilities."
Stevia Corp and Aquaculture
Stevia Corp's Fish FeedStevia Corp. is making a move into the aquaculture and fish feed sectors, having appointed fisheries and agribusiness veteran Andrew Kaelin to its advisory board. The processing of stevia to produce the approved extract Reb-A also produces an ingredient which Corp. is now incorporating into fish feed, Kaelin told Undercurrent News. This has a number of positive effects for aquaculture.

Where and How Much Stevia is Being Produced?
Stevia Corp. initially acquired grower supply contracts and nurseries in Northern Vietnam. Several trial plots were established across several provinces including Hanoi, Bac Giang, Hai Duong, Hoa Binh and Nghe An.
Stevia Corp.’s focus is to set up R&D and propagation facilities, ensure that the nurseries and farmers are working with clean varieties and develop local SOP as well as introduce elite strains to continually improve the varieties. Stevia Corp. is also investigating new growing regions and broadening its grower relationships.
Stevia Corp. is targeting 100 Ha of field trials in 2012 with commercialization in 2013. We have already seen in recent PR's like this one:
Stevia Corp. Achieves Spring Harvest Forecast Doubling the Previous Year's Harvest
That Stevia Corp. has been fully executing on its plans and has succeeded where they have targeted their goals.
Stevia Corp. harvested more than 2,000 tons of crops during the spring harvest of 2014, doubling the 2013 spring harvest. The majority of the spring harvest occurred during the Company's fourth quarter ending March 31, 2014 with the balance occurring during the current quarter ending June 30, 2014.
Stevia Corp plans to roll out (theoretically already completed) 5000 hectares. Some people cannot visualize this. It is roughly the size of 5000 football fields.
1 Hectare = 0.00386102159 Square Mile
5000 Hectare = 19.305 Square MILES of STEVIA plants!
George Blankenbaker, Stevia Corp President, comments, "We are continuing to diversify our crop portfolio and add international clients. To date, we are working with the largest food conglomerate in South Korea, a major importer to Europe, and we are in talks with a major Fortune 500 company to supply its South East Asian operations. Our model is working, now it is a matter of scaling it."
Mr. Blankenbaker continues, "With our production base firmly in place, we are focused on developing the US market and increasing our margins with higher value added products. Real Hemp LLC, our US subsidiary, will play a central role in this effort. We are currently confirming final details of our initial products for the US market with the intent to go live with our Real Hemp website in June 2014."
The Government (Eastern) has approved programs to grow stevia and to support farmers. Stevia Corp. will provide Farm Management services for these programs and will purchase the leaf produced under the current supply contracts that have been acquired.
Stevia Corp is negotiating formal cooperative agreements with agriculture institutes in several provinces whereby the institutes will provide research assistance, access to equipment for testing and land for field trials to help create economic stimulus for the farmers.
Stevia Corp will also collaborate with NGO’s (non governmental organizations) and conduct test pilots so that the NGO’s can introduce and fund stevia programs for the communities that they serve, which are located in poor rural areas in need of economically sound projects.
Vietnam is an established agricultural society that competes on the international markets for major commodities such as rice and it possesses excellent infrastructure with fields and locations easily accessible by car or lorry. Most fields are located within hours of a major port city and logistics will not be a major concern.
