making drinking alkalized water "fun". Really? I do know of a few individuals pushing this product, not this brand but the concept. The science on it is far from proving there is any benefit to drinking this stuff at all, depending upon who you believe, and as a shareholder you tend to believe the guy pushing the science because of your investment.
Here is a link you will find interesting because it touts the benefits of the stuff and this is for machines you can purchase and use at home. Now just think how much fun it would be for the kids being able to fill their own bottles with the stuff. I was approached a number of years ago on this company and all of the due diligence I did was not conclusive there was any real benefit to it. My thinking on the subject was this, and I am not a scientist by any stretch...but if Nestle or Coke or Pepsi had not yet latched onto this segment, despite knowing about it, it likely indicates there is no real market for this product. I know the man behind the science on the link I provided is big on the benefits and trying to get pro teams to use the stuff instead of other drinks or plain water, but the bottom line according to a good friend of mine who is a gastro-intestinal surgeon, is the body is very efficient at sweeping your body clean unless you suffer from a bodily malfunction which lessens the efficiency but a healthy person has no need of alkaline water or body cleanses. The body does fine on its own. I have yet to find any hard science behind this.
